CValley, makers of system environments for DTP and DTV, has updated FILTERiT, a plug-in suite for Adobe Illustrator that features various effects, to version 4.1.1. The update, which is free to registered users, offers compatibility with Illustrator 10 and the most recent Mac OS X 10.1.3.

This update also fixes some issues involving with some live plug-ins, according to MacTech magazine . A major addition to version 4.1.1 is Fractalize, a feature that lets you create the segments of the object appear rough and zigzag. There’s also a new Trace option that lets you prepare images for Web animation.
To user FILTERiT, you’ll need Mac OS 8 or later; Adobe Illustrator 8, 9 or 10; and a CD-ROM drive. The price is US$129 for new users.
