has announced some new FireWire-based storage products, including a new aluminum 5.25 inch FireWire/USB combo enclosure, two versions of a dual channel FireWire PCI card, rack mount FireWire removable enclosures, more configurations of the company’s multi-device FireWire enclosure series and Oxford 911-based bridgeboards.

Each bay in FireWire Depot’s rack mount removable and multi-drive removable enclosures utilizes its own Oxford 911-based 1394-IDE bridge controller in order to achieve optimal performance. You can also order extra removable drive trays, so once you finish one project, you can swap out the drive bay and put in a fresh one to start new on another project.
FireWire Depot indicated that it is “in the finals stages of testing” a new Pioneer 104 DVD-R drive with numerous enclosures and applications. The company expects in the next few weeks to release more new enclosures, including a new tri-bay model and a new 2.5-inch model, a FireWire-based digital camera, and more.
FireWire Depot claims that all of its products are Mac and Windows compatible.
