MIR3 Inc., a company that offers enterprise communication software, has announced MIRlogic, a rule-based, intelligent event notification system that the company says is “entirely platform and protocol agnostic” and will therefore work with the Mac operating system (including Mac OS X).
The system is designed to serve as a rule-based notification system and a broker between enterprise data and communication devices. MIRlogic’s proprietary escalation capability delivers data to any device based on pre-defined escalation criteria from one device to the next until it reaches the recipient. Exclusive to MIR3, MIRlogic’s device escalation can transmit and receive intelligent messages sequentially or simultaneously by device and by recipient, according to Amir Moussavian, MIR3’s chief executive officer.
MIRlogic automates the transmission of mission-critical information by determining the critical path for information delivery and ensuring notifications are delivered to the right person or group, on the right communication device, he added. MIRlogic supports all major platforms on the server side and just about any platform on the client side. It works with all wireless protocols to interface with all mobile communication devices, Moussavian said.
MIRlogic’s intelligent communication rules engine allows organizations to establish procedures for critical information delivery and response, he added. MIRlogic defines who gets a message, how the message gets escalated in case there is no response and which devices should be used.
MIRlogic takes a new approach to information delivery and response on communication devices, Moussavian said. Instead of creating applications that reside on specific communication devices, MIRlogic allows users to interact with any enterprise application using their communication devices of choice. New events and information can be triggered within applications. Using bi-directional XML, MIRlogic translates message responses into commands enterprise applications can accept, understand and act upon either manually or automatically.
MIRlogic works with all wireless protocols (CDMA, TDMA, GSM, GPRS, Wi-Fi) to interface with all mobile communication devices. It also supports all operating systems (Mac, Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris) and the latest versions of all Web browsers. Details and pricing can be found at the MIR3 Web site.
