The Carolina Mac Users’ Group (CMUG) plans to host an OS X introduction — the first in the region, according to the user group. The event takes place on Saturday, April 13, 2002 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Presenting will be Randy Marshall, Douglas Welton, and Don Osborne. Apple sales engineer Brian Harrison will also be on-hand — he’ll answer general questions and demonstrate the new G4-powered flat panel display iMac. The event will focus on several key areas of Mac OS X usage, including a general overview of the operating system, an introduction to the Command Line and Terminal features available in OS X, and a summary of programming with Cocoa APIs.
Novice users haven’t been left out here, either — adjacent rooms will feature programs on using iTunes, iPhoto and other OS X applications.
