Now Up-to-Date & Contact has just been updated by Power On Software. The new version is a “must-have for Palm users who want to take advantage of Mac OS X and want the added security of backing up their pre-synch data so that they can ‘undo’ the synch if they desire,” Bob Leeds, VP of business development and communications, told MacCentral.
Version 4.2 of the scheduler and contact manager for individuals and workgroups offers native Mac OS X support for Palm OS-based handheld. And a new backup utility lets you recover previous versions of your data in case you want to undo synchronization sessions between your PDA and Mac. Other features are: the addition of the new NowPak for iPod module (which permits contacts created in Now Contact to be loaded into Apple’s new iPod devices); a new holiday file that adds support for a number of European holidays; and an installer created exclusively for Mac OS X users.
Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4.2 has a suggested retail price of US$129.95; electronic downloads are $119.95. Upgrades from earlier versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact are $49.95. Registered owners of version 4.0 or later may obtain a free electronic upgrade.
