Macworld announced today plans to publish Macworld’s OS X Buyer’s Guide. The special newsstand-only edition will appear in September.
The publisher bills the buyer’s guide as “the essential resource” for Mac users who want to get the most out of Mac OS X software and hardware. The guide will cover business and productivity software, graphics and publishing tools, system and networking utilities, multimedia and digital video applications, Web development utilities, educational software, games and more. Peripherals will also be covered, including printers, scanners, digital still and video cameras, input devices, and networking hardware.
Macworld editor in chief Rick LePage noted that his magazine’s readers depend on the expert advice and analysis found there to help make buying decisions. “This special issue will contain reviews of key products, tips and tricks for optimizing an OS X system, and a great deal of product information, making the Macworld OS X Buyers’ Guide a vital reference for anyone interested in staying in front of the Mac technology curve,” said LePage.
