At the IPEX 2002 print-publishing trade show in Birmingham, England, Apple is pushing Mac OS X 10.1 for its performance in editorial workflows and knowledge management. At its booth the company is also showcasing the latest leading applications for the next generation operating system.
Apple is offering sessions on Authoring and Design (text, image, video, graphics and layout work); Management (media assets, editorial collaboration, advertising, approval cycles, automation and databases); Media and Production Preparation (prepress, proofing, pre-flighting, file conversion, preparation per media/purpose); and Print-Production-Delivery (ripping, finishing, production control).
Plus, several software vendors are showing their applications running on Mac OS X for the very first time at IPEX. They include; Artwork Systems, Best Colour, CGS, Creo, Global Graphics, Heidelberg, Scenic Soft and Rorke Data.
