Command Prompt, Inc. has announced the release of Mammoth PostgreSQL. The software is an SQL-compatible Object Relational Database Management System (ORDBMS) that runs on several platforms including Mac OS X. The developer said that the software has been designed form small and medium size businesses.
Mammoth PostgreSQL comes with SSL connectivity support (both Native and ODBC); along with programming APIs for C, C++, Perl and Python. A Deluxe version is also available with the SQL/XML application server LXP — Command Prompt, Inc. said that the deluxe version provides out-of-the-box developer support for Web site integration with PostgreSQL, XML documents and other Web-based programming solutions like PHP and Perl.
