VersionTracker — the online resource for Mac, Windows, and Palm software upgrades, patches, and updates — has started a contest for designing a new, official T-shirt for the site.
The finalists will be judged by a panel of graphic design community leaders from Macworld magazine, LucasAlexandre, Core77, and Aquent. Winners will get US$500 in cash. Runners-up will be recognized in a special online gallery, “T-Shirts That Never Were,” which will be hosted on the VersionTracker Web site.
The competition starts today and runs through Tuesday, April 30, at midnight. Winners will be announced on May 13. Artists (who have to be 18 or older) who are interested in participating can view the rules and download the necessary artwork online. By the way, Version Tracker was recently named “Best Utility Web site” in Time magazine.
