Monaco Systems Inc. today noted the release of MonacoPROFILER 4.0, the newest major release of its ICC profiling application.
The new version now includes support for LCD flat panel displays. It also profiles digital cameras via GretagMacbeth’s ColorChecker DC Color Reference Chart. MonacoPROFILER 4.0 supports true multi-ink (5-6-7-8 color) profiles, including Pantone Hexachrome, thus enabling profile editing, soft proofing and advanced orange and green separation.
Monaco Systems CEO and founder George Adam said that MonacoPROFILER is the choice of high quality graphic art professionals.
“This release was designed to meet the latest end user requirements, such as multi-ink profiles, digital camera profiles, and calibration for LCD monitors. MonacoPROFILER provides the most complete solution on the market to maintain accurate and predictable color throughout the workflow,” said Adam.
With MonacoPROFILER, you can select the number of patches to measure when you build an output profile — up to 3,000 patches. You can also build device-linked profiles that adjust the gamut of a proofing device into that of the target output device for more precise color proofing.
Advanced editing options enable you to manipulate lightness, saturation and output curves, make selective color adjustments and more. The software also sports a relinearization option that enables you to update your profiles without going through the whole measurement process over again.
MonacoPROFILER 4.0 requires a PowerPC-based Mac running Mac OS 8.6 or later and ColorSync 2.6 or later. The software costs US$4,250. Upgrades from version 3.0 or later cost $995; upgrades from versions prior to 3.0 cost $2,500.
