National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX, June 17-19. Apple will be on hand for the 22nd annual event, which is sponsored by the National Educational Computing Association (NECA).
Held in partnership with the International Society for Technology in Education and the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA), NECC 2002, dubbed “Nexus in Texas,” is expected to draw12,000 teachers, administrators, technology coordinators and teacher educators from 55 countries, according to NECA president Dr. Cathleen Norris.
Nexus in Texas will include exhibits by more than 450 educational hardware and software companies and will feature over 400 local and national speakers, demonstrations, discussions, workshops, Internet poster sessions, research papers. What’s more, there’ll be a national Student Showcase. Delegates will be able to get hands-on experience with cutting-edge products for the K-16 community through exhibits and extended workshops.
NECC 2002 will be held in cooperation with many regional education and technology organizations in the Southwest, including TCEA, Texas Center for Educational Technology, Texas Education Agency and the South Central Regional Technology in Education Center.
