MacsDesign Studio today released a new version of Web Help Desk. It’s a Web-based tech support application designed for education and small to medium-sized businesses. The software was created using WebObjects 5.1 from Apple.
According to the developer, Web Help Desk 5.5 now includes:
Web Help Desk utilizes Java objects to manage client and asset info and job tickets. It runs on any operating system with Java 2 SE installed, including Mac OS X Server, Windows 2000 Pro and Solaris 8.
Web Help Desk features an Aqua-style interface; intelligent business logic for job assignments; asset management; e-mail notification and reminder features; graphic reporting of common job ticket statistics; a FAQ module and more.
Web Help Desk 5.5 is a free upgrade for all current Web Help Desk 5.x licensees. Pricing for corporate customers runs from US$3,000 – $7,500, and for educational institutions it runs from $2,000 – $5,000. An online demo is available.
