Sophisticated Circuits has announced the release of new public beta versions of its software for the PowerKey Pro USB and Kick-off! products.
Kick-off! is a crash detection and recovery system designed for USB-equipped Macs. Similar to Sophisticated Circuits’ ADB-based Rebound! product, Kick-off! uses software and hardware to detect whether your Mac has crashed, and to restart it if it does. It provides multiple levels of application crash detection, logging, “bookmarking” and preventive restarting, as well.
The new beta version of Kick-off!, 2.0b1, implements support for Mac OS X for the first time. It requires Mac OS X 10.1 or higher.
The PowerKey Pro 650 is Sophisticated Circuits’ “intelligent power strip.” It sports six individually controllable outlets equipped with manual switches and indicators. You can control your peripherals via a control panel, “hot keys,” and over a telephone line. You can schedule the PowerKey Pro 650 to activate and deactivate while you’re away.
PowerKey Pro 4.0.2 is the “Admin” upgrade for PowerKey Pro. It brings similar features to PowerKey Pro that already exist in Rebound! and Kick-off!, and it also supports Mac OS X.
