XLR8 is now shipping InterView 2.0 with OS X support. It’s something that users of InterView have been requesting for at least a year.
InterView Media Capture Software and Cabling lets users import analog video and audio into any USB-equipped Mac. It supports real-time video at resolutions up to 320×240, snapshots at resolutions up to 640×480 and supports both NTSC and PAL video formats. With it, you can capture video and output quality small files that can be imported into iMovie or captured by Final Cut Pro.
InterView 2.0 for Mac OS X has an introductory price of US$89.95. For this you also get Strata Video Shop 4.5, an included upgrade to QuickTime Pro, EchoFX’s Mac OS X drivers, and InterView Capture. Version 2.0 works in Mac OS 9.2, as well.
XLR8 will announce the firmware upgrade program for the original InterView units in the near future, according to Product Manager David Reynolds. Interested users should visit the company’s Web site for more info.
