FileMaker Inc., makers of FileMaker Pro, Apple’s database software subsidiary, will be all over the place at this week’s Spring’s Internet World in Los Angeles.
The folks at FileMaker plan to showcase the instant Web publishing and XML capabilities of FileMaker Pro, at several prominent venues during the conference.
At Internet World’s Electronic CRM track on Wednesday, April 24 (10 to 11:15 a.m.), Mack Richardson, Application Developer with Volvo Action Service, and Andy Turnbull, LAN/WAN/WEB Administrator with Volvo Information Technology, will present a case study of how Volvo uses FileMaker Pro to manage the company’s start-to- finish customer care process and coordinate thousands of service providers, dealers and parts organizations to better handle on-the-road breakdowns for Volvo owners.
As part of the “Instant Web Publishing with XML and Open Standards” panel on April 26 (3-4 p.m.), FileMaker Systems Engineer Alexei Folger will discuss the instant Web publishing capabilities of FileMaker Pro. Panel attendees will learn how to use FileMaker Pro to instantly publish database files on the Web, generate current, dynamic views and create databases with templates accessed from a Web browser.
