Billed as “the Northwest’s premiere computer event,” the Mac Business Expo is coming to the Oregon Convention Center next month. It’s a one-day event that gathers Mac hardware and software vendors under one roof to show off new products and to offer helpful workshops to showgoers.
The event, presented by Apple and The Computer Store, features more than 30 other companies that make Mac products, including Belkin, Asante, Connectix, LaCie, Microsoft, Wacom, MYOB, Canon and others. All told, the event’s coordinators are expecting “over 60,000 square feet packed with the latest state-of-the-art Macintosh related computer technology and solutions for all your business and personal computing needs.”
There are also free workshows and seminars being presented throughout the day, and attendees are also expected to be offered special deals and pricing on various goods. There will be a drawing to win a free flat panel-equipped iMac, a vacation and more than a hundred other prizes. The Mac Business Expo will also feature special areas dedicated to digital video and gaming, too.
The keynote address kicks off promptly at 8:30 am, and the exhibit hall will be open from 10 to 5. This year’s keynote is being given by Apple vice president of the Americas and Asia Pacific, John Brandon.
The Mac Business Expo is free to attend, whether you register online or at the door. For more details visit the Web site above.
