Advanced Hi-Tech Corporation’s OneRIP print controller for the 7920/7915 Color Imaging Systems is now available from Konica Business Technologies, a company that makes digital imaging products.
AHC are digital output specialists and Konica provides digital solutions for document creation, distribution and production. OneRIP is a print controller that delivers such high-end functionality as variable data printing and built-in color management capabilities.
OneRIP, which offers full support for finishing functions, is a scalable, open architecture. It integrates into most network environments and provides both Mac and Windows drivers. OneRIP comes with a variable data application called Vite, which can be used to customize documents, and color management software to create ICC profiles.
It also offers a scanback feature. You can scan images off the glass and save them as digital files. Electronic Collation collates multi-page documents without a sorter and Continuous Print eliminates the cycle up-cycle down process. OneRIP can handle simultaneous RIP and print; in other words, it can process incoming jobs even while printing is in progress.
Supported file formats are PCL5e, PostScript, PDF, TIFF, JPEG, ASCII, HPGL, and CCITTG4. And OneRIP supports finishing options such as duplexing.
The 7920/7915 Color Imaging Systems boast “scan-once/print-many” technology and speeds of 20ppm (pages per minute) in black and white and 15ppm in color. The systems offer 600 x 600 dpi resolution with enhanced 600 x 1800 dpi print resolution, full bleed 11 by 17 inches, and can handle up to 90-pound index (paper weight) through universal paper tray. They also offer high-speed duplexing.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the OneRIP is US$8,245. The cost of the 7920 is $17,495, and the 7915 is $13,995.
