Malvern, Worcestershire, UK-based Iscentia announced today a ‘3-stage’ Mac OS X transition service intended to help small and medium sized businesses move to the new operating system.
Iscentia explained that for small shops with little or no IT staff, migrating five or ten Macs and all their applications to OS X can be “a technical and logistical nightmare.” Iscentia, which specializes in business-to-business consulting, has developed its transition plan accordingly.
The company starts out with a software license audit identifying what software your business is using, no matter how minor. Both hardware and software are evaluated for Mac OS X upgradeability.
Iscentia then works with the client to develop a time line and a strategy for doing the upgrades, and will contact vendors to coordinate the deployment of OS X upgrades.
Implementation and training is then done; Iscentia said it could do the work either on site or off site, depending on your preference. The company also offers staff training to help bring your employees up to speed with their new OS X-based systems.
Pricing and availability is obviously done on an individual client basis — get in touch with the company by e-mail for more details.
