The shareware makers at Vizspring Software have updated their flagship font manager Typeset, to version 1.1.
A full-featured font viewing utility, Typeset was designed for the creative professional who needs to view a collection of installed fonts while, for instance, searching for a good font for a particular project or logo. Typeset can also be used to view the contents of a font, or to preview text within a particular font.
Version 1.1 offers a new font storage and font array parameter call implementation, according to MacTech magazine. Other new features include: a font list addition; multiple favorites sets and accompanying features; identification of styled text; a “more info” window that replaces the “advanced” window; a “Go To” replacement for the “find font” window; a font size slider added; and the addition of printing, for all fonts or a selected favorites set.
Most notable to this release is multiple favorites sets, which let you arrange and organize groups of fonts, and the font list, a resizable listbox on the left side of the screen that allows quick access to any font in any favorites set.
Typeset is compatible with Mac OS Classic, as well as Mac OS X. It costs US$15 and can be downloaded from the Vizspring Web site. You can download a demo version that display a maximum of 50 installed fonts until it’s registered. Version 1.1 is a free upgrade for previously registered users.
