Mallet and Bare, a company that develops utilities and productivity software for the Mac and Windows platforms, have updated Erase The Trail, their file and hard drive management tool
With the tool, you can batch change creator codes; delete, create and view invisible files; and completely back up your hard drive on to a storage device. Plus, you can view info you didn’t even know existed and edit Mac OS X long file names without booting into Mac OS X.
Erase the Trail 2.0 brings full Mac OS X support, a redesigned interface, new preferences and speed enhancements. It also offers new Shortcut and Favorite Toolbars
Erase the Trail is shareware and costs US$10. Discounts will be given on later versions to registered users. Meanwhile, version 2.0 is a free upgrade to registered users; a new number will be e-mailed to you at no cost). You can download it from the Mallet and Bare Web site.
