Computer Systems Odessa, makers of the ConceptDrawX graphics tool, have now released ConceptDraw Presenter, presentation software that combines drawing and animation functionality.
The idea behind the product was to merge the graphic engine of ConceptDraw and its variety of animation and sound tools with capabilities for sharing presentations, according to Product Manager Stanislav Sedashov. ConceptDraw Presenter sports a set of drawing tools for creating documents, illustrations and slides in the app itself. There are a variety of custom object and text animation, as well as support for speakers notes and captions.
The documents and presentations created in ConceptDraw Presenter can be exported to PowerPoint and shared with others. And PowerPoint presentations can be opened in ConceptDraw Presenter, edited with drawing tools, and saved back to PowerPoint with animations added. The Odessa product also offers capabilities for preparing Web-ready documents and Flash movies due to its support for HTML and the Macromedia Flash format.
Use of the PDF format support lets ConceptDraw Presenter users exchange documents with others regardless of platform and publish them on the Web. When exporting to PDF, all the hyperlinks in resulting PDF documents remain live.
A demo of ConceptDraw Presenter is available for download. The purchase price is US$199. Current users of other ConceptDraw products can upgrade to ConceptDraw Presenter at a special discounted price. Academic discounts are offered.
