Niemeijer Consult has released TouchStrokes virtual keyboard for touch screens, server management and graphic tablet users. It runs natively on Mac OS X.
TouchStrokes’s virtual keyboard works by drawing a keyboard image on the display. Users can type characters into any normal application using a mouse, touch screen, graphic tablet, trackball, head pointer or other mouse emulator. It works with all standard Mac OS X applications (including those running in the Classic).
TouchStrokes automatically adjusts to US and international keyboard layouts and has multiple resizable keyboard models. It handles command-key combinations, dead-keys, and modifier key – click combinations. The app also offers a quick access toolbar and customizable settings.
The suggested retail price for TouchStrokes is US$95. Discounts are available for users of KeyStrokes 2 and for volume purchases. More info and a downloadable demo are available at the product Web site.
