Big Nerd Ranch and AppleStudentDevelopers.org have teamed up to offer discounted summer Cocoa training to college students.
The Big Nerd Ranch teaches programmers in an environment that includes room and board. AppleStudentDevelopers.org is an emerging Web site for students that supports a developer community atmosphere through Web forums, tutorials, project discussion areas and a showcase gallery that are all focused toward Mac OS X.
“Programming with Cocoa” classes are scheduled for May 13-17 and June 3-7, 2002. Aaron Hillegass, author of “Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X” is the Big Nerd Ranch Cocoa instructor. He has over seven years of experience consulting and teaching for Apple and NeXT. Eight promotional seats are reserved for each summer class.
Any student with a valid student ID may sign up for class at a discounted price of US$1,500 per person; the normal price is $3,500. Participants in the Summer Student Promotion must supply their own computers for class and will be paired with another student to share a room. Room, board, training and 24-hour lab access are included in the class fee.
You can sign up for class by e-mailing Big Nerd Ranch with contact information and class date. For more information about the summer student promotion, go to the promo Web site.
