The card features dual SD-SDI SMPTE 259M outputs which are selectable between video and video, video and key 4:2:2:4 or 4:4:4:4 (dual link) through two BNC connectors for live key environments. The card includes an analog component output for analog tape decks and composite output for viewing SDI-SDI video on either an NTSC (525) or PAL (625) analog composite monitor. The card also handles 6 channels of AES/EBU digital audio.
Digital Voodoo said that the Iridium AD is compatible with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, Discreet Combustion, Toolfarm’s ColorTheory DV and Boris FX. The card also comes bundled with Digital Voodoo’s own Media Transfer application, which enables users to manage frame accurate capture and insertion to and from an RS-422 controllable digital tape deck.
Priced at US$2,495, the Iridium AD is coming during the second quarter of 2002. It’ll be available through all Digital Voodoo resellers.
