Apple is offering some details about its newest Apple Store retail location. The company plans to open a new store location at the Lenox Square mall in Atlanta, Ga. on May 11th.
Lenox Square is located in Atlanta’s Buckhead area, and the Apple Store is situated on the third level of the mall across from Rich’s department store, according to information posted on Apple’s site. Managed by Simon Property Group, Inc., Lenox Square is also home to Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and more than 230 specialty shops and restaurants. Lenox Square is the first Apple Store to open in the state of Georgia.
Apple’s retail stores give the company a place to showcase its entire line of Macs. In addition to stocking hundreds of third-party software and peripherals, the Apple Stores feature solutions areas that show how Macs can be used for everything from digital music to video, surfing the Internet and more.
A special kid’s area showcases educational and fun titles for youngsters, as well as a pint-sized spot for kids to play on the Macs. The Genius Bar gives Mac users an opportunity to speak with Mac experts about support issues they’re having, while the Apple Theater gives Apple and third-party reps a location to train Mac users about how to use their products.
The grand opening happens Saturday, May 11th. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
