Today St. Clair Software released a new version of Default Folder X.
Default Folder X is a utility that improves Open and Save dialogs in Mac OS X. It lets you type in the names of files and folders in file listings; shows you where you are; gives you access to windows you have open in the Finder; and much more.
Default Folder X 1.5 adds support for Cocoa applications, thus providing Open and Save enhancements in all Mac OS X-native applications. The new version also integrates with Super Get Info from Bare Bones Software and a forthcoming release of Keyboard Maestro from ClairWare Software.
Version 1.6 gains fixes and compatibility improvements with BBEdit, PageSpinner, and other Carbon applications.
Default Folder X 1.5 can be downloaded from St. Clair Software’s Web site now as a 30-day trial version. Distributed as shareware, the software costs US$34.95 to register. It requires Mac OS X 10.1.2 or higher.
An update from previous versions of Default Folder X is available for free. Upgrades from previous versions of Default Folder are available as well — visit the Web site for more details.
