If you live in or near Auckland, New Zealand, you may want to drop by the Apple Autumn Update Roadshow at the Auckland Town Hall on Thursday, May 9. Apple will be showcasing its latest hardware and software products, including Mac OS X, its “digital hub” applications, the flat panel iMac and the 23-inch Apple Cinema High Definition (HD) display.
Epson, Canon, Philips, Hewlett Packard and others will also be on hand to demo their Mac compatible products. Thirteen out of New Zealand’s 15 new state schools selected to educate children are using the Mac platform over the PC, according to an online article at Scoop , a Wellington based Internet news agency accredited to the New Zealand Parliament Press Gallery.
Admission to the Apple Autumn Update Roadshow is free, and you can register online. The event is held from 12:30 until 6 pm. There will be a formal Apple presentation on the latest Apple technology, which will be followed by a training presentation on the “Basics of OS X.” What’s more, if you attend the presentation, your name will be entered into a contest to win a G4 iMac.
