Last week we brought you news that Aspyr’s Mac conversions of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and The Sims Hot Date are both in final candidate status. Today the company announced the same news about two other hotly anticipated titles: Clive Barker’s Undying and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Clive Barker’s Undying is a first-person action game based on a story created by renowned thriller author Clive Barker. The game is set in the year 1920, as you assume the identity of Patrick Galloway. You’ve been summoned to the ancestral Irish estate of the Covenant family at the behest of your friend, the last remaining Covenant sibling, Jeremiah. It’s your job to lift a family curse and quell the rise of the dread Undying King before it’s too late; you’ll be pitted against all manners of horrifying creatures from beyond the grave and beyond the realm of our reality.
A first-person action adventure game based on the Unreal Tournament engine, Clive Barker’s Undying was released by Electronic Arts for the PC last year. The game was originally slated to be released for the Mac last autumn, but development plans went awry. Aspyr and its development partner, Westlake Interactive, announced that development of the Mac port was back underway a bit earlier this year, and it looks like Mac gamers will soon enjoy the fruits of that labor.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is the enormously well-regarded 3D action game based on real military campaigns which took place in the European theater during World War II. The game sports more than 20 levels with goals and objectives that you must complete to succeed. You’ll encounter 22 different enemies including Wehrmacht snipers and Gestapo officers, wielding more than 21 historically accurate era weapons like Thompson submachine guns, .50 cal mounted machine guns, flamethrowers, grenades and more. Like Clive Barker’s Undying, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is also published for the PC by Electronic Arts.
Clive Barker’s Undying is expected to ship in the next couple of weeks, while Aspyr still anticipates Medal of Honor: Allied Assault to ship in August. For more details, visit Aspyr’s Web site.
