Simon Jacquier has released iPhoto Entourage Patcher 1.1.1, a self-described “hack” for Apple’s iPhoto application.
iPhoto is Apple’s most recently released iApplication. The software enables digital camera or scanner users to organize, edit, print and share their digital photography in an easy to use application with interface elements that are vaguely reminiscent of Apple’s popular iTunes digital music package.
iPhoto sports a variety of output options, including the ability to attach a digital photo directly to an outbound e-mail. By default, iPhoto is hard-wired to support Apple’s own Mail application.
Jacquier has created iPhoto Entourage Patcher for iPhoto users who prefer to use Entourage, the e-mail client software including with Microsoft’s Office v. X suite. After applying the patch, you’ll see Entourage’s icon as the iPhoto “mail” button instead of Mail.
iPhoto Entourage Patcher is specifically designed to work with iPhoto 1.1.1, the new update to iPhoto released by Apple today.
iPhoto Entourage Patcher is free. There are a few limitations, but iPhoto Entourage Patcher does include a “restore” function that will undo its change if you decide you don’t want to use Entourage as your iPhoto e-mail application. Visit the site for more details, or to download the patcher.
