Shareware developer Black Cat Systems has been hard at work on updates for many of its utilities. New versions of MultiMode OSX, iUnit and Audio Toolbox are ready for download.
Audio Toolbox is an audio function generator that lets you produce sine, square, triangle and sawtooth waveforms of any frequency up to 22kHz. You can also use it to generate noise and cool sound effects. The new version, 1.1.0, adds the ability to store generated sounds as AIFF recordings, which you can then burn to CD or use with other audio applications.
iUnit has also been updated to version 2.1.0. iUnit is a unit conversion tool that works with 630 different units of distance, mass, volume, velocity, density, currency and more. It was developed to help students, engineers, scientists and anyone else who needs to do quick conversions between different forms of measurement. It also contains 50 commonly used constants. The new version adds 80 new conversion units.
MultiMode OSX 4.0.0a8 is also available for download. This is a new alpha version of an application that enables your Mac to decode and transmit non-voice communication heard on shortwave and ham radio. Multimode decodes and displays morse code, RTTY, FAX, SSTV, ACARS, PSK31 and many other modes. It also allows you to transmit in most modes of operation, as well.
