Network Computing’s The Daily Blog has a list of this year’s Well-Connected Awards. Apple was represented in two categories in this year’s awards.
Specifically, Apple won awards for its QuickTime Streaming Server software. Pitted against RealNetworks’ RealSystem IQ and Microsoft Corp.’s Windows Media Services, QuickTime Streaming Server won the award for Streaming Media Server.
Apple also picked up the overall award for Digital Convergence. The Streaming Media Server category is a subset of the Digital Convergence category, which also included Broadcast Quality Video Solution, Content Delivery Advice, Content Delivery Solution and Unified Messaging System.
QuickTime Streaming Server won over products from other companies including Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, InfoLibria, PictureIQ Corp. and Minerva Networks.
