David Empson and Graeme Moffatt of The Wellington Macintosh Society in Wellington, New Zealand are the guests for the latest edition of “The User Group Report,” an online audio interview at The MUG Center, an online resource for Macintosh User Groups.
“David and Graeme talk about a wide variety of topics, including why their group decided to hold a Mac Expo & User Group Conference, and how they are involving local Apple resellers, Microsoft, PC users and even The Lord Of The Rings in the project,” Chuck Joiner, editor-in-chief of The MUG Center, said.
Their preliminary efforts to form a countrywide connection between the MUGs in New Zealand are also described. A review of some of the MUG Center’s most recent and significant additions on the third anniversary of the site’s launch round out the report, said Joiner, who hosts the User Group Report. The reports are a series of audio interviews with people making news in the MUG community. You can listen online.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware.
