Internet software maker Vicomsoft announced today that it’s now an independent software company. The news follows a management buyout from the BVRP Software Group.
Vicomsoft develops tools like Internet Gateway and SurfDoubler, which allow businesses and individuals to share their Internet connections using a single computer. The company also creates FTP and DHCP server software, Web caching software, and more. The company supports Windows and Mac OS, and has begun to migrate some of its products to Mac OS X as well.
According to Vicomsoft, the company’s entire development team, including Internet Gateway’s original authors, have remained on board. They also promise to announce “exciting new products” in the coming months.
