Xproof 1.0, a real-time color previewing and information tool for digital media, is now available from Colorfield Digital Media, a software developer that specializes in color tools for designers working in digital media.
With the standalone application, digital designers can visualize color appearance across different devices, including Mac monitors and broadcast video formats. Xproof also simulates color appearance to colorblind viewers, helping designers to address accessibility issues in their work, according to MacTech magazine .
Xproof is designed to integrate with other design applications. With it, you can preview image color on alternate operating systems; image color in different broadcast formats; and how image color appears to color deficient viewers. You can view color values for common color spaces, access HTML color labels, and copy or drag HTML values from Xproof directory into HTML source files. Plus, you can drag and drop screen previews to the desktop or into an image editing application
Xproof runs on Mac OS 9.x (with CarbonLib extension version 1.5 installed) or Mac OS X 10.1 or later. The cost is US$29. Discounts are available for volume purchases, and a demo copy is available.
