Extensis is offering all new Suitcase users a free copy of Morrison SoftDesign’s FontDoctor.
FontDoctor — software for font problem diagnosis, repair and organization — was recently updated to version 5.1. FontDoctor for Macintosh 5.1 is available for Mac OS X, as well as Mac OS 8.6 – 9.x. A free demo version can be downloaded from the Morrison SoftDesign Web site. The cost is US$69.99 for a single user license and $350 for a site license.
However, if you’re a registered Suitcase 10 user, you can download it from the Extensis Web site and register it for a special price of $29.95. In Mac OS X, there’s a minimum of four Fonts folders available to users, making font management more critical than ever before, according to Michael Wong, Suitcase product manager for Extensis. With Suitcase 10.1, users can now view fonts in all Mac OS X font directories, and activate or de-activate fonts in Cocoa, Carbon and Classic applications, he added.
The English version of Suitcase 10.1.2 is available now for download from the Extensis Web site for a suggested retail price of $99.95 for the full product, $49.95 for upgrades from previous versions, and $59.95 for competitive upgrades from competing products. Suitcase 10 Server is available starting at a suggested retail price of $999.95, including five free copies of Suitcase 10.1.2 for Macintosh. Suitcase 10.1.2 is available to all registered owners of Suitcase 10 at no additional charge.
Suitcase 10.1.2 supports Mac OS 8.6 – 9.2.2 and Mac OS X (version 10.1.1 and higher) and requires a Power Mac, 14MB of hard disk space, and 32MB RAM for Mac OS 8.6 -9.2.2; you’ll need 128MB RAM for Mac OS X.
