Adobe has updated InDesign, the professional document creation software, to version 2.0.1. According to Adobe’s release notes, the update addresses several issues that were identified in version 2.0 and incorporates updated versions of the Scripting and Cross-media plug-ins.
InDesign doesn’t quit when importing swatch libraries from non-default libraries; when copying a multicolumn text frame, overset text (text that doesn’t fit in the visible frame area) is no longer missing when the frame is pasted; and now icons and scroll bars in the Pages palette don’t disappear after moving the palette, minimizing it, relaunching InDesign, and/or creating a new document.
The update is free to registered InDesign 2.0 users. The Adobe product has a suggested retail price of US$699. InDesign 2.0.1 requires a Power Mac, 128MB of RAM, and Mac OS 9.1 or higher or Mac OS X 10.1 or higher.
