Several Apple regional liaisons have updated their report pages for May, and they’re part of this week’s front page news at The MUG Center, an online resource for Mac user groups (MUGs).
Amaya Gergoff updates the activities in Latin America, including activities by Corel and how her group, Caracas Macintosh User Group, is celebrating their 5th anniversary with an event, including a Mac OS X introduction. Chise Mishima provides a variety of Japan-related MUG news, including final details and links from iWeek, Guy Kawasaki in Singapore, and more.
Yuan-Yuan Sun details upcoming MUG events in Central Europe, including CampusMac in Spain, Mac OS X Camp in Germany and a day-long Mac OS X workshop in Switzerland. Chris Bastian reports on two user group conferences in the Northeast US, bus trips to Macworld Expo in July, and more. Jed Mark checks in from the American Southwest with information on how two MUGs are working together to improve the value to vendors exhibiting to their groups.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
