There’s more than just fun and games at the E3 Expo every year — it’s also a place for educational software publishers to show their wares. That’s what’s happening this week with School Zone Interactive, which is using the event to get the word out about its complete curriculum of Electronic Workbooks.
The company’s On-Track Software series sports more than 20 titles, ranging from preschool skills like shape and sound recognition to critical thinking development, onward to grade-appropriate math skills including basic arithmetic and time, money and fractions. The company also features beginning and advanced reading materials that include spelling, vocabulary building and phonics skills.
Developed for kids ages 2 to 12, the On-Track Software series combines games, skill building exercises and curriculum reinforcement on hybrid CD-ROM. Designed for System 7.6.1 or higher, the software doesn’t yet work natively in Mac OS X, however. Paper workbooks and storybooks are also included.
