LightSpeedMedia and digital photographer Dennis Biela have announced a new “Nuts and Bolts” CD-ROM to help beginners and experienced users get the most of out QuickTime VR. Priced at US$49.95, the CD is available for $39.95 through the end of May.
The CD-ROM is the counterpart to Biela’s own Nuts and Bolts of QuickTime VR seminars. It incorporates more of the instruction and practice files that students who attended those seminars requested. An interactive CD, the disc includes QuickTime and QuickTime VR files as well as photos and other source material you can use “to help turn ideas into finished projects.” It also sports links to Web resources that can further assist the user.
Content on the CD covers basic and advanced information on a variety of topics, including panoramic work with QuickTime VR and the equipment and techniques used to get the most out of it, how to do object-based VR using QuickTime VR, using hotspots and creating multi-node movies, how to set up installers, and how to enhance QuickTime VR with skins, sound and logos.
