Shareware developer Angelo Scicolone has released XChar 2.0, a new version of the Mac OS X utility that lets you use uncommon characters even if you don’t remember the correct key combination.
This new version adds compatibility for applications that don’t support drag and drop. It also lets you copy the font and style along with the character. The XChar interface is also tweaked as of version 2.0.
XChar, made with the REALbasic environment from REAL Software, displays a window containing all the characters that your Mac can display. When you need one of them, simply drag and drop it on the place where you need it.
XChar is a US$10 shareware application. You can download it from the product Web site.
