Parker Software Development has released ArcherPro 1.0.0, a multimedia viewer for Mac OS X that lets you combine still images, audio and video files into the same slideshow.
ArcherPro supports all the features of it free counterpart, Archer. However, unlike Archer, the US$29.95 ArcherPro lets you save and load your slide shows, export your slide shows, as well as create sequenced images and more.
“ArcherPro provides increased functionality over Archer while still retaining the same easy-to-use interface,” said Mike Trivisonno of Parker Software.
ArcherPro lets you view all sorts of still images, including Illustrator, Photoshop and TARGA files. Select a folder of images and ArcherPro will import them. The utility’s slide shows can contain video files as well as still images and audio files. When ArcherPro encounters a video file, it will automatically load the movie and display the first frame. If you have the “Play Movies” option turned on, ArcherPro will automatically begin playing the movie once it has been loaded.
Its slide shows can contain audio files, as well. When ArcherPro encounters an audio file, it will automatically load it. Again, if you have the “Play Movies” option turned on, ArcherPro will automatically begin playing the audio file once it has been loaded.
The viewer also lets you have as many slide show players open as you’d like. Each slide show player can be configured and sized independently. And if you hit the “F” key, the current slide show player takes over the screen. Hit the “F” key again and the play goes back to its original size.
You can download a 30-day trial version of ArcherPro from the Parker Software Web site. It’s an 880KB download file.
