The new generation of iBooks has “got more where it counts,” according to a Sydney Morning Herald review. Apple announced its update to the iBook line on May 20.
Reviewer Garry Barker said the changes on the revamped consumer portable line are “not cosmetic but inside.” He likes the boosted processor speeds (“not huge but useful”) and especially the larger hard drives. Barker also likes the new video-out port and the not-new-but-still-sweet bundle of software.
He said that the new iBooks are already in stores in Australia in the three standard configurations. See our May 20 report for complete details on these configurations.
