Apple Philippines, is “bullish” about expanding the Apple user market base in the country this year, according to an i.t. matters article.
“We have been quite bullish, specifically on education and professional users,” Charlie Tang, country manager for the Philippines, told i.t. matters. “Of course, we expect growth this year.”
Though he didn’t offer any specific figures, he noted that most of the participants to their “Beyond the (PC) Box” road show in Cebu yesterday were non-Mac users.
“This means that a lot more people are willing to try us out,” Tang said. “A lot more people are willing to listen to what we can offer. We hope to convince at least half of them to shift to Mac.”
Tang added that he was optimistic about having the same response in Davao City in Southern Mindanao, where they will hold another road show presentation today.
