Nanosaur comic book creator Rich Bonk has posted the book in its entirety to his own Web site. He cited a disagreement with the publisher as the reason why the book never saw comic book store shelves. Bonk’s background is as an inker and penciler of a number of different comics published by popular independent labels like Image and Dark Horse.
Nanosaur #1: Countdown to Extinction tells the story of the Nanosaur, a genetically engineered saurian of the future who is sent back in time to collect Dinosaur eggs from the distant past — necessary to help the survival of his species. “The Nanosaur’s mission is simple enough, until he is faced with the conflict of having to kill his own kind, in order to save them in the future. As the story unfolds, he realizes that’s just the beginning of his problems,” said Bonk.
What’s more, Bonk is also selling the original artwork he created (along with Kevin Conrad) for the Nanosaur comic book, with prices ranging from US$75 to $150.
