Aspyr Media today announced it was shipping Medal of Honor Allied Assault for the Mac.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is a first-person action game where you assume the role of Lt. Mike Powell of the famed 1st Ranger Battalion. You’ll go on more than 20 historically accurate military campaigns during World War II, using real-world weaponry along the way. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault has won accolades from game critics and players since its release for being challenging and for having a gritty realism absent from many games of the genre.

“Medal of Honor Allied Assault puts you in the middle of the action with some of the most intense single and multiplayer game play around,” said Michael Rogers, President of Aspyr.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was originally published for the PC by Electronic Arts, developed by 2015 Inc. The game was converted to the Macintosh and Carbonized for Mac OS X by Westlake Interactive, and uses the same core game engine created for Quake III Arena.

System requirements for the game include a G3/450MHz or faster processor, Mac OS 9.0 or later or Mac OS X 10.1 or later, 128MB RAM (256MB for OS X), and a 3D graphic accelerator with 16MB VRAM or more, including the ATI RAGE 128 or Radeon, or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better. Aspyr noted that the game will work on Power Mac G3s and G4s, flat-panel iMacs, and PowerBook G4s equipped with Gigabit Ethernet.
