Your Mac Life, the Internet show about all things Mac, will, of course, be covering next month’s Macworld New York Expo. In fact, they’ll be broadcasting from the show floor on the MacBeginnings.
Since he wants the room filled with “yelling, screaming, swag wanting Mac fanatics” during the broadcasts, Your Mac Life has secured a special deal on a hotel in New York City.
“After a lot of blood, sweat and tears and with a few grey hairs and sleepless nights thrown in for good measure, Your Mac Life is finally able to announce that the Metropolitan Hotel will be the ‘official’ hotel [for Your Mac Life] of the show during this year’s Macworld Conference and Expo in New York,” host-producer Shawn King said. “We think we’ve secured one of the best deals in town for a hotel with high speed access; the special YML room rate is US$135 a night based on single/double occupancy.”
The Metropolitan Hotel is located at 569 Lexington Avenue (Lexington @ 51st), just a subway or cab ride away from the Javits Center, home of Macworld New York. It boasts such amenities as the Tech Den (where you can surf the Net while sipping on your favorite beverage), high speed Internet access in the guest rooms, a nearby Starbucks, proximity to a subway station (the means of transportation, not the restaurant), the Lexington Avenue Grill (which is open from 7 am to 11pm), and the “Lexy Lounge” (described as an elegant watering hole offers lighter meals and its signature cocktail).
You can book your rooms through the Macworld Expo Web Site. Use the special Your Mac Life code “YML” to get the special deal.
“And stay tuned to Your Mac Life as we ramp up towards the biggest event of the summer.,” King said. “We’ll be announcing other specials, deals and cool events that will take place at the Metropolitan Hotel and at the Javits Center.”
