Extensis today announced the release of updates to some of its popular Photoshop plug-ins: Mask Pro, Intellihance Pro, PhotoTools and PhotoFrame.
Mask Pro 2.0 is an expert-level masking and complex object selection tool that uses edge blending, intelligent edge detection and color selection. Intellihance Pro 4.0 is a dynamic image enhancement plug-in that provides up to 25 enhancement variations at once. PhotoTools 3.0 is a collection of real-world special effects for print, multimedia and Web design, and PhotoFrame 2.0 provides more than 1,000 edge and border effects.
The new plug-in versions add support for Adobe’s recently released Photoshop 7. Alas, the plug-ins still aren’t ready for Mac OS X, but if you’ve upgraded to Photoshop 7 while still running an older Mac OS version up to 9.2.2, you’ll be in luck. Extensis noted that Mac OS X versions would be available at a later date.
Extensis productivity tools product manager Michael Wong called today’s release “the first stage” in the company’s development plan for updating its plug-in products, both for Photoshop 7 and for Mac OS X. Wong said the release of the OS 9 drivers is in response to “tremendous user demand.”
Registered users of the plug-ins can download free updates from the Extensis Web site now.
