InFocus Workshops, an Apple authorized training center located in Anaheim, California, is now offering classes at their facility in video editing using Final Cut Pro 3.
Three classes are planned: “Final Cut Pro 101 — Editing” is a three-day introductory program designed for those wanting to learn the FCP 3.0 feature set and how to use it in an editing environment. “Final Cut Pro 201 — Advanced Editing Techniques” is a two-day program designed to take basic FCP skills to the next level for use in a professional environment. “Final Cut Pro 210 — Effects” is a two-day program designed for those who’ve mastered basic editing skills and want to create customized effects.
The Final Cut Pro classes are being taught by editor Diannah Morgan, whose experience includes music videos, industrials, tutorials, documentaries, travel logs, testimonials, demo reels and modern dance videos. An Apple-certified instructor, she has written one book for Final Cut Pro users, “Final Cut Pro 3 Upgrade Essentials,” and co-authored two others, “Revolutionary Final Cut Pro 2 Digital Film Making” and the just-published “Revolutionary Final Cut Pro 3: Digital Post-Production.” Morgan is also working on a fourth book, “Revolutionary DVD Studio Pro 1.5,” due later this year.
Upon completion of a class, each participant will be offered 20 hours of complimentary lab time, so they can start projects using the skills they’ve learned.
