Mandomartis, a company that develops Java and Flash products, has announced Advanced Effect Maker, an online tool for creating Flash applets, but doesn’t require any knowledge of Macromedia Flash.
The applets aren’t based on Java, but on Macromedia Flash 5.0. Any users with basic Web design knowledge can easily adapt them for their home pages and can choose from 23 customizable Web effects, according to MacTech magazine . You can choose from applet types that include slideshows, scrollers, tree navigation menus, text effects and page counters. You can upload your images and fonts into your personal folders on the server, which is the workspace for the applet creation software.
If you have a commercial account, you have access to all the effects. The price for a commercial three-month registration is US$29. An annual commercial account is $59. You may also register for a freeware account, in which you have access to a restricted number of Flash applets. You can download Advanced Effect Maker from the Mandomartis Web site.
