Got US$15,995 to spend on a monitor? If so, you may want to check out the new CMP5000WXU plasma display from Hitachi.
The monitor was designed for conferences and show rooms, restaurant menu boards, retail stores and sports venues. The CMP5000WXU features XGA resolution and a sharp 900:1 contrast ratio for exceptional image quality, according to Pete Denes, director of sales for Hitachi America, Computer Division, Visual Display Products. Sophisticated color filters and high brightness ensure rich, natural colors for lifelike imaging, he added. The 16:9 aspect ratio display is equipped with multi-scan technology to automatically adjust to VGA, S-VGA, XGA, S-XGA or UXGA resolution.
The CMP5000WXU is less than four inches thick and weighs 85 pounds. You can also upgrade the CMP5000WXU with an optional video card for enhanced video capabilities.
